3. According to different cultures
There are no discrete learning styles according to culture. Nevertheless,
it is vital to see how culture may influence the learning process by assigning
certain learning styles to the individuals.
Let's see some examples of a recent research in United States:
- African-Americans learners tend to have a social and relational
learning style. They may learn more productively with interactive, collaborative
situations than with competitive educational methods.
- Euro-Centric learners may learn more successfully with inquiry learning
situations and competitive, individual-based situations.
Nevertheless, they have more difficulty with collaborative situations
since they are independent learners
- Mexican-Americans learners have a global view and are collaborative.
They can learn through play and experimentation.
